3 Must-Know Hacks for Styling Full Coverage Hijab with Earrings

Have you ever put an outfit together, looked in the mirror, and felt like something was missing? Accessorizing is such an easy way to polish off your final look, and simple touch can go a long way. Being a hijabi who tries to keep my neck and ears covered, I used to find it difficult to  wear my hijab with earrings because the styles I was accustomed to would typically drape over the ears completely. But now I have a few tips and tricks to share with you on how I’ve been recently styling my hijab with earrings to elevate my outfits while keeping covered.

1) No need to fuss - Wear hoops with open backs
I love a good hoop earring, but it’s frustrating when your hijab pushes the back of your hoops and they don’t lie flat against the side of your face! An easy fix to that is to wear hoops with an open back. Slide the hijab/cap fabric through the opening and your hoops will hang exactly they way they should, just like the examples on the right! 2) Relieve tension - use lightweight earrings inserted in your undercap

Wearing earrings with your hijab could cause some painful tension in your earlobes. But one trick I discovered is to put the earring through your undercap instead of putting the earrings through your ear piercing to take pressure off your earlobe. Keep your earrings lightweight as well! In my latest hijab tutorial, I used both these tips to style Kevia Jewelry lightweight studs with my hijab. Use the code HAKEEMAH15 for 15% off at Kevia!

2) Frame your face - wear a hijab that ties in the back

Hijabs that tie in the back, such as one of my favorite new finds, the Nea Wear Instant Jersey hijab, make it super easy to wear earrings with hijab. These hijabs give a natural shape right around the earlobe that begs to be accessorize. The jersey material of the Nea Wear hijabs is stretchy so hijab stays put. Khimars and jilbabs are a similar tie-back design and also are easy to replicate this style with even more coverage!
